Los Angeles TG Film Festival Showcases The Work of Indie Trans & Gender Queer Film Makers From All Over The Globe

Once a year Los Angeles hosts the TG Film Festival, one of the few festivals in the world that showcase the work of transgender and gender queer filmmakers. Festival founder, Kalil Cohen, was tired of going to LGBT film festivals and seeing films about trans people that often ranged from the shoddily made to the down right offensive (ala Gendercator at Outfest and Ticked-Off Trannies with Knives at the 2006 Philadelphia International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival & Tribeca), in 2009 the filmmaker and long time community organizer decided to do something about it.
